What began as a personal outlet quickly grew into something more. DAN discovered that his paintings didn’t just help him, they resonated with others. That connection sparked a passion that still drives him today.

Dan is a self-taught artist whose work is as bold and eclectic as the path that brought him to the canvas. After more than 30 years in the wholesale building materials industry, and a lifelong love of all things creative, Dan turned to painting during a deeply challenging time in his life. Diagnosed with degenerative osteoarthritis and severe spinal stenosis - and four major surgeries to prove it, he found that creating art offered relief from pain and gave him a renewed sense of purpose.

From his home studio, he creates vibrant, joyful, and sometimes unexpected pieces across a range of styles—realism, impressionism, pointillism, abstract, pop art, and everything in between. His work lives in homes, galleries, restaurants, and businesses across the USA and beyond.

Dan is grateful every day that art found him when it did and he hopes his work speaks to others the way it spoke to him - deeply enough to take a piece home.
